MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Whether your holiday style is elegant, nostalgic, romantic or
retro, you’ll find everything you need for holiday entertaining, decorating and
giving at Arc’s Value Village Thrift Stores and Donation Centers, where the
Merry Thriftmas Holiday Shop opens November 3. Shoppers will find more than
$200,000 worth of gently used and new holiday merchandise at the three Arc’s
Value Village stores, with new items arriving daily through the holiday season.
White Christmas or not, the holidays are always green at Arc’s Value Village –
“green” as in environment-friendly. When you shop and donate at The Village,
you help to reuse and recycle millions of clothing and household items. That
makes the Merry Thriftmas Holiday Shop a guilt-free way to be a little
extravagant during the holidays while you support a healthy environment.
Hosting a holiday get-together? You can “entertain green” with items from the
Merry Thriftmas Holiday Shop. Brighten your holiday table festive dishes,
tablecloths, napkins, platters, mugs, cookie tins, baskets, trays and more.
The Merry Thriftmas Holiday Shop will also be overflowing with gifts and décor.
You’ll find ornaments of all kinds, wreaths and lighting, candles and
candleholders, snow globes and figurines, cards and wrap, stockings, crafts and
more. Prices on Merry Thriftmas merchandise start as low as 99 cents, so you’ll
want to shop Arc’s Value Village before you go to the malls. On the day after
Thanksgiving, the biggest shopping day of the year, Arc’s Value Village will
hold its “Best of Season” event. “Best of Season” features a special selection
of new and gently used gift items, saved especially for this one-day event on
November 24.
Proceeds from the Merry Thriftmas Holiday Shop help build a brighter future for
people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families by
supporting the programs and services of Arc Greater Twin Cities. Last year, the
Merry Thriftmas Holiday Shop raised nearly $190,000 in much-needed funding for
individuals and families facing challenges at all stages of life. The public is
encouraged to donate holiday decorations and other items to Arc’s Value Village
year round to support Arc.
